Suzanna Banwell has a law degree from the University of Denver and a Masters in Public Health from Boston University.  She has worked on international human rights and women's reproductive rights for the better part of the last 20 years.  She has lived and worked in East Africa, India and extensively in Cambodia.  In the last couple of years she has shifted gears to focus more on her poetry, prose and fiction.  Her work has been published or is forthcoming in Ascent Aspirations and Calyx, among others.  She lives in Takoma Park with her 'tween and teen sons and her husband.
